"I was born more than 50 years ago to English parents who emigrated to Canada. My childhood in the 1960' with my diplomatic family was fascinating. I was dragged around the world from posting to posting, sometimes going to school. But I was never interested in academics - I was much more interested in music and the arts, something that has never changed for me. In school, my grades were horrendous. I was the biggest clown in the class and was expelled for being genuinely disinterested and disorderly. I wish I had a photograph of my headmaster's expression as he was about to trash me across the arse with the stick that said 'X marks the spot'. He'd say to me in his Irish accent, "This is going to hurt me much more than it's going to hurt you". I'm not sure he was completely right..." Bryan Adams.
