"This is the first book in nearly twenty years to present the photographs of Ralph Eugene Meatyard (1925-1972) in a retrospective survey of his career. A master craftsman of exotic image making, Meatyard was influential among his contemporaries, but until recently he has been surprisingly overlooked by traditional historians of the medium.
